Our Lady of Lourdes plan Wellness Road Trip for local youths

2020 has brought many challenges to the young people of Our Lady of Lourdes. Covid 19 has brought changes to all our lives and to how we keep ourselves well, in body and in mind. The ‘Wellness Road Trip’, by Our Lady of Lourdes Local Education Committee, will take place on Wednesday, December 16, between 11am and 1pm.

Our Lady of Lourdes Local Education Committee will distribute 300 Wellness Packs among young people between the ages of 10 and 14. Each Wellness Pack contains hand sanitiser, a mindfulness colouring book and pencils, some theraputty and some chocolate.  Crucially, each pack will also contain a booklet which contains ideas for a mindfulness walk, links to online resources, a sensory check in and simple ideas for yoga and relaxation.

On Wednesday, December 16, as an alternative to an organised gathering, the Wellness packs will be delivered by car to three schools which serve the young people of Our Lady of Lourdes. The ‘Wellness Road Trip’ will call first to Colaiste Nano Nagle Sexton Street, followed by Crescent College Comprehensive Dooradoyle. The destination of the trip is Our Lady of Lourdes NS, Rosbrien.
